Where to Find Axew

If you’ve been scanning your Sword and Shield map closely you probably already have an idea where to find Axew. Axew’s Eye is a small island in the middle of the first section of the Wild Area. You may think this is a good place to hunt for the little green dragon, and if the weather is just right, you’ll be correct. Under normal conditions along with overcast, raining, and heavy fog you’ll find Axew hidden among the tall grass about 10% of the time.

You’ll need to know how to get to the island, of course, but once you’re there you should start seeing him appear. If you want alternatives during other weather patterns just head to Hammerlocke Hills during a sandstorm or Route 6, but Axew is much rarer here, so likely best to change the weather instead. Thankfully evolving Axew is pretty easy. To evolve Axew into Fraxure you just need to get him to level 38. Then to evolve Fraxure into Haxorus you need it to reach level 48. There’s no special items or stones needed, and you can get here through any method available. Use them in combat, give them special XP boosting items, or whatever you want to do. Just raise their level and you’ll have your very own Haxorus to dominate all the other creatures.
