The Nocturne for Heroes event is finally back in Final Fantasy XIV, and FFXIV players can earn the Regalia car mount and other FFXV cosmetics by completing limited-time event quests. This is the very same event that took place around the release of Final Fantasy XV, so there’s not much to do if you participated in the event last time around. How to Start the Nocturne for Heroes FFXIV Event
To start the FFXV event in FFXIV, you need to be level 50 and have completed the main scenario quest “The Ultimate Weapon,” which is the finale of the A Realm Reborn storyline. If you’re a new player still working through A Realm Reborn, then you have some catching up to do. Once you meet these requirements, speak to Kipih Jakkya in Ul’dah at the Steps of Nald (X:8.5, Y:9.7) and pick up the quest “The Man in Black.”
There are multiple quests for this event, but they all lead into one another. Completing “The Man in Black” will lead to “In the Dark of Night,” which leads to “Messenger of the Winds.” Completing these quests will reward you with the Lucian Prince armor set, which is the outfit Noctis wears.
How to Get the Regalia Car Mount
The Regalia car mount is the main reason people are excited about this event. To get it, visit the Gold Saucer and speak to the Ironworks Vendor in Entrance Square (X:5.3, Y:6.3). There, you can purchase various FFXV items using MGP, including the Regalia mount. In order for the Ironworks Vendor to appear, you need to finish the event questline first. Here’s everything you can buy during the FFXV event:
- Modern Aesthetics: Lucian Locks – 20,000 MGP
- Noctis Lucis Caelum Card – 10,000 MGP
- Regalia Type-G Title – 200,000 MGP
To purchase the Regalia, you need 200,000 MGP. You can earn that amount easily by participating in the weekly Fashion Report and completing your Gold Saucer challenge log.
How to Get the FFXV Noctis Outfit
To get the Noctis outfit in FFXIV, you need to complete the Nocturne for Heroes questline. That means talking to Kipih Jakkya in Ul’dah to start “The Man in Black” quest and then completing the quests that follow. Each quest will reward you with a part of the outfit, and you will have the entire gear set by the time you finish the final quest.
The outfit won’t be complete without Noctis’ signature hairstyle though, and you’ll need to visit the Gold Saucer to buy it. Speak to the Ironworks Vendor and you can purchase a copy of Modern Aesthetics: Lucian Locks for 20,000 MGP to unlock the hairstyle.
