The ‘Lucky Egg’ is a held item that allows the Pokémon holding it to gain 150% of the usual Experience it would earn. It’s a fantastic item for levelling up Pokémon faster, which is especially useful when training for theElite Four. It’s a permanent held item, which means it isn’t consumed after use, unlike the Lucky Egg in Pokémon GO.

There are two ways to get a Lucky Egg in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl with the first one being to find it in Grand Underground. Head to Acuity Lakefront and enter the Underground using the Explorer’s Kit. Walk into the most North-West corner of the map to the Hideaway labelled ‘Icy Cave’. Walk straight forward inside the Icy Cave to the edge of the lake, here you will find a Poké Ball on the ground. Press ‘A’ in front of it and the Lucky Egg will be yours!
